Abstract

In this study, we developed a liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) analysis method for the qualification and quantification of 11-Nor-9-Tetrahydrocannabiol-9-carboxylic (THCCOOH) in hair samples was reported. The method was used THC-COOH-d3 as internal standard. The following validation parameters were evaluated: selectivity, linearity, limit of detection (LOD), limit of quantification (LOQ), precision and accuracy. The limit of quantitation for 11-Nor-9-Tetrahydrocannabiol-9-carboxylic (THCCOOH) was 0,01 ng/mg. The method was applied to analyse 20 positive hair samples with THC-COOH. The concentration of THC-COOH ranged from 0,11 ng/mg to 3,04 ng/mg.
